| Definition | A current meter with styrene impeller current sensor and relatively low resolution (6-bit) compass. In self-recording mode the compass and rotor count were read every 5 seconds and summed over the required sampling interval. A 5-second data stream including corrected vector data was output via a connector to facilitate use as a direct reading instrument.
