| Definition | A high-accuracy temperature recorder with non-volatile memory and RS-232 port, designed for shipboard determination of sea surface temperature. It is magnetically fixed just below the water line with the temperature sensor in contact with the inside of the ship's hull. The thermistor is the same as the SBE 39 which has an accuracy of 0.002C, stability of 0.0002 C/month and resolution of 0.0001 C .
