| Definition | A series of class A and B barometers designed for meteorology, aviation, laboratories and demanding industrial applications. It uses a BAROCAP silicon capacitive absolute pressure sensor developed by Vaisala. The measurement is based on an advanced RC oscillator and reference capacitors against which the capacitive pressure sensor is continuously measured. The microprocessor of the barometer performs compensation for pressure linearity and temperature dependence. It is available with one, two or three modules. Each module has its own adjustment coefficients for different reference pressures across the entire temperature range. It is available with digital (RS-232 or RS-422/485) or analogue output (voltage or current). The instrument can operate over a pressure range of 50 to 1100 hPa or 500 to 1100 hPa and a temperature range of -40 to 60 degC. The best accuracy achieved is +/- 0.1 hPa at 20 degC using a class A sensor and +/- 0.2 using a class B sensor. | ||
