Definition | A series of cosine-response radiometers initially developed by Satlantic, but currently distributed by Sea-Bird Scientific since the companies combined in 2011. They are used for various in-water (ICSW) and in-air (ICSA) applications, such as bio-optical and photosynthetic analyses, estimation of UV radiation levels and hyperspectral measurements for agriculture and forestry. The radiometers use Satlantic’s proprietary RS-485 SatNet networking interface, enabling multiple Satlantic devices to be mounted on a single telemetry interface. Each sensor contains a 256-channel silicon photodiode array. They have a sampling rate of up to 3 Hz and a spectral range of 300-1200 nm (350-800 nm calibrated range). Spectral accuracy is 0.3 nm and spectral resolution is 10 nm. | |
