Definition | QSR sensors are surface reference radiometers to measure scalar irradiance from sunlight with a Photosynthetically Active Radiation (PAR) response. These sensors are often used on ships during on-deck incubations, or while a QSP sensor is vertically profiling, for example, when mounted on a CTD. The QSR-2150 model has a digital ASCII output. QSR sensors are equipped with a detachable field-of-view cut-off shield to limit its response to light from the upper hemisphere (2 π steradians). | |
