Definition | An inverted fluorescence microscope used for the examination of cell and tissue cultures and of sediments in culture flasks, Petri dishes and microtiter plates in transmitted and reflected light. It is suitable for imaging fixed samples and for live-cell imaging, utilising an sCMOS high-speed large FOV camera. The Axiovert 200 microscopes use transmitted-light techniques (brightfield, phase contrast, differential interference contrast and VAREL contrast), as well as the epi-fluorescence technique. DAPI, FITC, TRITC and Cy5 filter sets can be used and an optional heated stage insert is available. | ||
