Definition | The Sea-Bird Deep SeapHOx combines the Satlantic Deep SeaFET pH sensor with the Sea-Bird Electronics SBE 37-SMP-ODO MicroCAT CTD+DO sensor. The Deep SeaFET adapts the MBARI/ SIO/ Honeywell Deep-Sea DuraFET technology to measure pH in a deep moored package. The Deep SeapHOx allows for the integrated data collection of pH with measurement of temperature, salinity, and oxygen. The integrated package also allows the SeaFET to take advantage of the SBE 37's pumped flow path and anti-fouling technology, extending deployment duration in some cases. Outputs include pH, conductivity, temperature, pressure, and optical dissolved oxygen. The conductivity ranges from 0 to 7 S/m with an accuracy of 0.0003 S/m, and resolution of 0.00001 S/m. Temperature ranges from -5 to 45 degC with an accuracy of 0.002 degC (-5 to 35 degC) or 0.01 degC (35 to 45 degC), and resolution of 0.0001 degC. Pressure ranges to 20 m, 100 m, 350 m, 600 m, 1000 m, 2000 m, accuracy 0.1 percent of full scale range, and resolution 0.002 percent of full scale range. Dissolved oxygen ranges to 120 percent of surface saturation, accuracy to 3 umol/kg or 2 percent, and resolution 0.2 umol/kg. pH ranges from 6.5 to 9, accuracy 0.02, and resolution 0.004. Depth rating is 2000 m. | ||
