| Definition | The Aanderaa Doppler Current Profiler Sensor series are medium-range, 600 kHz current profiler smart sensors designed to collect high quality current information on moving and tilting platforms. Available as 300 m depth rated (5400/5400R), 4500 m (5402/5402R), or 6000 m (5403/5403R). R-versions are equipped with RS-422 interface for use as stand-alone sensors with long cables, whereas the standard versions can be connected to a SeaGuardII or SmartGuard using the AiCaP output or third party systems through the RS-232 interface. The 5400 version is available with an integrated pressure sensor (5400P/5400PR) depth rated to 100 m. Narrowband Velocity Range: 0 to 500 cm/s (up to 1000 cm/s for tilt less than +/- 5 deg); Broadband Velocity Range: 0 to 400 cm/s; Velocity Accuracy: 0.3 cm/s or 1 % of reading; Velocity Resolution: 0.1 cm/s; Ping Rate: up to 10 Hz; Output Interval: 30 seconds to 2 hours. | ||
