Definition | The maximum extra time a float can stay on the surface after transmitting. This feature is used for SOLOII floats to try and make them stay in a particular area, e.g. near the equator for equatorial floats. If a float is drifting at the surface and moving in the direction we want, we turn the feature on to keep it drifting at the surface in a favourable direction. If the float is moving in a direction we don't want, then we turn this feature off, so the float dives immediately. Changeable via 2-way communications. | |
